In one of India’s most infamous, rural and poorly developed landscapes governed by patriarchy, diktats of khaps (rural panchayat systems) and feudal laws, a handful women have taken to the roads embarking on a journey which unfolds and simultaneously questions a rather unusual and pioneering initiative that seeks to assist them in being more in control of their lives.

Vedika is a final year film direction student at the State Institute of Film & Television, Rohtak, Haryana. Her worldview reflects the complexity of human interactions with oneself, others and the world at large. Her previous work, including fiction films have premiered at esteemed film festivals both nationally as well as internationally.
