Synopsis

Revisiting an old home destroyed by communal riots stirs deep-rooted memories.

Seventeen years ago, during the 2002 communal riots in Gujarat, the family was forced to abandon their burning house. The event, meant to be buried with the surrounding debris, unfolds unfolds in memory as Saira and Salim visit what was once their home.

Eshwarya Grover is a post graduate film student at NID, Ahmedabad who chanced upon films while studying architecture. She believes that film plays a crucial role in capturing the emotions that attach to a space, creating a nuanced, subconscious space.
