Synopsis

A separate platter for Dalit visitors keeps the practice of untouchability alive in Gujarat.

The film is an exploration of the practice of rampatar, a bowl which is used to separate Dalits from others. The film seeks the origins of the custom and how the bowl became a symbol of oppression and untouchability.

ABOUT DIRECTOR

Vivek Gopinath is a film student at NID, Ahmedabad. He has been involved as director and cinematographer for short films, documentary and advertisements.
