Synopsis

“Where heaven and earth meet, towers the summits of the Himalayas. They are a scale for the world, just as the gods are a scale for the people.” With these words the tale of Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati begins. The Legend of Shiva and Parvati is the journey of a hippie-girl from a small town in Germany and a yogi from the Himalaya. It speaks of love and hate, joy and grief, life and death, and, ultimately, the courage to go one’s own way.

[director]Krishna Saraswati was born in 1980 in the Indian Himalaya where he spend his early childhood with his parents. He developed an interest in photography during his school days in Germany. After graduation, he bagan working as a trainee in film at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. Saraswati lives in a small village in Southern Germany with with and two children.[/director]
